Importance of Ladder Safety

Ladder Safety is extremely important during a roof install. One small mistake can have disastrous consequences. Every year 300 people lose their lives because they weren’t paying attention to ladder safety. OSHA has it’s own regulations for what a ladder should look like, how it’s placed and how to handle it. As a roofer being aware of these risks and how to prevent them are essential.

There are several different types of ladders and sizes. Making sure you have the right one is important to ensure a proper installation. Each ladder has what’s called an, ANSI sticker that tells the user it’s weight load. The most common is a Type one combination ladder.
